I Quit!

Are you a quitter? If not, maybe you should be. It was at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago, Illinois, where I heard Willie Jolley, motivational speaker and author of It Only Takes A Minute To Change Your Life, share his inspiring story about quitting his job. His son was in the car with him as they drove by the company where he used to work. Willie said, "Daddy used to work there." And before he could finish, William asked, "What happened, did you get laid off or fired?" Willie responded, saying, "No son, Daddy quit." Now this baffled young William because Willie had always told his son never to quit or give up. Seeing the perplexed look on William’s face, Willie said, "Son, Daddy didn’t quit because he was giving up, Daddy quit because he was going up!" What is it in your life that you need to "quit" in order to go up?
