Have A Little Pride

Would you sign your name on everything you do? It was Butler who said, "Every man’s work, whether it be literature or music or pictures or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of himself." I guess the real question is: "Do you take pride in yourself and in your performance?" Now, I’m not talking about the loud boastful pride that comes before destruction. I’m talking about the quiet confident pride that comes from knowing you’ve given 100 percent, you’ve worked long and hard, made the necessary sacrifices, and have paid the price of success. The prouder you are, the harder you’ll work to deserve your sense of pride. Remember: Pride shows in everything you do. So, no matter what you’re doing, you should always give your best effort, because if you fail to do so, you cheat not only those around you, you cheat yourself.
